Dimakatso, performing as Dimahr, has released her fourth studio album titled DIMAHR. The album, produced by Botanist Mr Lamington under Concrete Jungle Studios and Publishing, represents a new phase in her musical career.
The DIMAHR album is a 10-track project that blends hip hop, dancehall, and reggae influences. It showcases Dimahr’s growth as an artist and storyteller, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and creative independence. The album features strong lyrics and layered production, maintaining a distinct artistic style.
The track “Program” is a standout on the album, featuring Eastern Cape artist Rozar. Rozar, a DJ, songwriter, rapper, and singer from Butterworth, brings a youthful voice and energy to the collaboration. Her contribution complements Dimahr’s vocals and adds to the song’s overall dynamic.
Dimahr has been nominated twice for a South African Music Award in the Best Reggae Album category, receiving nominations for Proof of Life at the 30th awards and Flaws in Frame at the 31st awards. She has also been nominated three times for a Basadi in Music Award as Reggae Artist of the Year.
The DIMAHR album is now available on major digital streaming platforms.
