The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), in collaboration with ApexBrasil, hosted the Kenya–Brazil Trade and Business Forum in Nairobi. The event aimed to foster new opportunities for trade, investment, and partnerships between businesses in Kenya and Brazil.
The forum, led by KNCCI Economic Diplomacy Chair Cynthia Nyawira, highlighted the commercial potential between Africa and Latin America. Organizers noted that despite economic complementarities, trade between the two regions remains below its potential. The forum facilitated direct engagement between businesses, positioning Kenya as a strategic gateway to East Africa while leveraging Brazil’s industrial capabilities and market size.
On the sidelines of the main forum, KNCCI engaged in high-level discussions with Mr. Rui Mucaje, President of the Afro-Brazil Chamber of Commerce. These discussions focused on establishing a strategic partnership to accelerate market access, improve trade facilitation, and encourage ongoing collaboration within the private sector.
