In her latest single ‘Dobbanah’, Saudi Arabian rapper Asayel takes aim at those in the rap scene who take themselves and their impact too seriously.
With combative energy and a speaker-rattling boom-bap beat, Saudi Arabian rapper Asayel makes a bold statement on her latest single, ‘Dobbanah’, taking aim at the scene’s inflated egos and self-important characters.
Anchored in aggressive rhythms, the track is brought to life by slippery synths that glide between notes underneath Asayel’s direct delivery. She navigates this foundation with raw confidence, lacing her classic cadences with playful ad-libs that inject a lighthearted energy into the production.
Lyrically, ‘Dobbanah’ serves up a sharp, irreverent reality check to those who take themselves too seriously. Yet, Asayel never loses her sense of humor, balancing her biting commentary with delightfully absurd moments, including a cheeky line about wanting to recruit an actual fly for a guest feature.
