ABC News will dedicate the month of February 2025 to Black History Month with special programming across all platforms.

Good Morning America will showcase individuals using social media to educate about Black history and feature heartwarming surprises for Black-owned small businesses recovering from natural disasters. A health-focused segment, “It’s Time for a Checkup!,” will offer health tips from three doctors. The month will conclude with a celebration of soul line dancing, including a live studio dance-off.

GMA3: What You Need to Know will begin the month with a discussion about the casting of a Black actor in “Captain America: Brave New World” and will feature special guests and chefs throughout February.

World News Tonight with David Muir, Nightline, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, The View, and ABC News Radio will also recognize Black History Month.

Tamron Hall will feature supermodel Chanel Iman, Madisin Rian, the first Black woman to represent Giorgio Armani Beauty, and fashion designer Nina Parker in its “Up-and-Coming Designer” series. The show will also include performances by Jagged Edge and Heather Headley during the week of Valentine’s Day.

ABC News Live, the 24/7 streaming network available on Disney+, Hulu, and other digital platforms, and the primetime program Prime with Linsey Davis will highlight individuals preserving Black history, contributing to their communities, and impacting culture. Featured stories will include the creator of “The Shade Room,” a group training the next generation of Black teachers, the history of the Republic of Liberia’s connection to the United States, and a family fighting to retain land their ancestors were enslaved on.

ABC News Digital will publish a feature on the legal risks surrounding DEI initiatives and report on the rise of community-led history lessons in response to restrictions on classroom content related to race, gender, and politics.
