Comedian Terrence K. Williams has defended Charlie Kirk against accusations of racism, stating that Kirk “was not a racist.” Williams cited an instance where Kirk assisted young Black individuals by covering travel expenses to attend a White House event in 2019, including Williams himself. He claimed Kirk facilitated their attendance and provided a “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity.

Critics have labeled Kirk a “racist” due to past comments. In 2024, he stated on The Charlie Kirk Show, “If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified.” In 2022, he questioned whether a WNBA player, pot smoker, and Black lesbian received preferential treatment over a United States marine. He also made comments in 2023 suggesting that prowling Black individuals target white people and questioned the qualifications of Black women in customer service, referencing affirmative action. Additionally, he remarked on Michelle Obama and others, suggesting they were affirmative action picks lacking the necessary intellectual capacity.

A member of the US Secret Service has been placed on administrative leave for allegedly mocking Kirk’s death on Facebook, citing his “racism.”

Charlie Kirk, age 31, was allegedly shot and killed on September 10 by Tyler Robinson during a campus event in Utah. The shooting occurred around 12:20 pm local time during a student Q&A at Utah Valley University in Orem.
