Black Female University of Idaho Law Professor Settles Bias Suit

The University of Idaho will pay a former law professor $750,000 to end her lawsuit alleging she was discriminated against because she’s a Black woman.

Shaakirrah Sanders, the university, and three individual defendants filed a stipulated settlement with the US District Court for the District of Idaho on Monday. They said the pact they entered “completely and finally resolves all allegations, issues and claims” in Sanders’ 2019 lawsuit under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. §1981 . . .
