Black Hawk man sentenced on drug and firearm charges

A US District Court judge has determined the penalty for a 35 year old man from Black Hawk convicted of Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm.
Gregory Martin was sentenced to six years in federal prison on each charge, to be served concurrently, followed by five years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $200 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.
In November of 2021, in Box Elder and Black Hawk, Martin knowingly distributed methamphetamine. Additionally, when law enforcement executed a search warrant in December of 2021 . . .
