Police are currently investigating an incident in Kinyago slums, Nairobi, where a five-year-old child died from suspected poisoning by a jiko (charcoal stove). The minor’s three siblings were found unconscious and promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention.
According to the police, the mother of the children had instructed her 21-year-old child to light a jiko and prepare their supper.
