Georgia softball opened its 2024 season with an 11-0 win over Murray State and 4-0 win over South Dakota Friday at Jack Turner Softball Stadium. The games were the first matches of the second annual Red & Black Showcase tournament put on by the Bulldogs.
Coming into the tournament, Georgia was ranked No. 6 in college softball across the board by USA Today/NFCA Top 25 and ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll. This ranking is now supplemented behind Georgia’s combined six home runs, zero errors, 15 strikeouts . . .
