Donnetrice Allison, Ph.D., has received accolades for her original script, Teaching While Black.
Allison, who chairs the Africana Studies Program at Stockton University, had no idea where to begin when it came to writing a script in 2018. A year later, she won the distinction of Semi-Finalist in the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices competition. Now, in 2023, her dramedy is chosen to be screened at multiple locations across Canada during the International Black & Diversity Film Festival and is a Finalist for Best Series Plot in the New York International Film Awards.
