BROOKLINE, Mass. — Rising University of Texas senior Travis Vick fired a 1-under-par 69 on Friday afternoon at The Country Club to climb into a tie for 16th place after the second round at the 122nd U.S. Open Championship. Vick, who has posted a 36-hole total of 1-under-par 139 (70-69), is the current low amateur in the field and just four strokes off the lead entering Saturday's third round.
