US seizes Boeing 747 previously owned by Iranian airline

The Department of Justice (DOJ) said on Monday that it has successfully seized an American-made Boeing 747 cargo plane, previously owned by sanctioned Iranian airline Mahan Air, in accordance with a U.S. District Court final order of forfeiture issued last year.
U.S. officials say Mahan Air, which has ties to the terrorist-designated Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp-Qods Force, sold the aircraft to a Venezuelan cargo airline, in violation of U.S. export control laws.
