US TikTok ban is good for the West, but what about Meta and X?

You see an endless stream of cat videos and makeup tutorials. But the American government sees a credible threat to its national security. And rightfully so.
TikTok is already being used by the Chinese government to extend its foreign influence in the West. It’s high time the U.S. did something about it, after mostly avoiding the problem for years. What it did, of course, was pass a bill last week in the House of Representatives to ban TikTok, unless its Chinese parent company, ByteDance Ltd,
