Wonderful community helped us through a scary time

On Wednesday night before Thanksgiving I hit a deer on Route 17 in Manchester. Although scary, the following hours and days were positive because of the wonderful community we live in.
Dennis, the owner of Lakeside Orchard, offered us the warmth of his store while we made the appropriate telephone calls. Sgt. Dutil of the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office, along with Frank of the Manchester Fire Department, met us and both were extremely courteous, professional, and compassionate, asking us several times if we were OK.
