Campaign aims to boost U.S. consumption of pulses – Agweek

The Campaign for the Advancement of Pulses Campaign is highlighting the nutritional value of edible beans and other pulses in an effort to encourage people to eat more of the legumes.

One of the specific ways the campaign, made up of Northarvest Bean Growers Association and pulse organizations, is working to do that is to increase the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommendations from one and a half cups weekly to three cups weekly. The campaign also is a priority of the newly formed Midwest Dry Bean Coalition.
