Survey: Two Thirds of Blacks in U.S. Want More Representation on TV

NEW YORK—With Black History Month now well underway, Nielsen has released a new study of media usage by Black consumers in five countries that highlights the size and importance of their audience and their desire for better representation on TV.
The study found that among U.S. audiences, Black consumers spend over 81 hours per week with media — 31.8% more than the general population, according to the latest Nielsen's Diverse Intelligence Series report, "The global Black audience: Shaping the future of media."
