U.S. House passes Steube’s Federal Disaster Tax Relief Act

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation sponsored by Rep. Greg Steube Wednesday, May 22 called “The Federal Disaster Tax Relief Act.”
According to Steube’s spokesperson, this legislation will “ensure that Americans who are harmed by hurricanes, wildfires, floods, tornadoes, and the train derailment in Ohio will receive tax relief.”
Steube expressed frustration from Floridians waiting long periods of time for disaster tax relief from hurricanes, especially Hurricane Ian and that he “won’t back down until disaster . . .
