Westerns are one of Hollywood’s most enduring genres, but Black cowboys have never truly gotten their due. Yes, we’ve seen standout Black gunslingers from Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx and Idris Elba, but it still doesn’t feel like enough.
